There is NO SAFE DEPOSIT BOX SERVICE either in the rooms or on reception. It is a quiet, dark, uphill half mile walk to the nearest tube on 59th street which felt uncomfortable while carrying all our valuables. Rooms were OK - clean and spacious - although the bath drained very slowly so filled as you showered. Continental breakfast has little choice: only bagels with either cream cheese or jam and coffee/tea/orange juice only. The "library and complimentary coffee bar" is simply a large magazine rack and a coffee machine off reception (definitely no pastries to be seen). No net curtains at the windows, and when we asked the porter for a yellow cab to Newark Airport, he convinced us he could get us a town car for "$55 all in", which actually turned out to be $63. In summary, would not return due to lack of security and inconvenient location compared to Midtown alternatives. No frills.
