Aston Coconut Plaza is a pleasant, friendly hotel. The staff is gracious and accomodating. The rooms are bright, spacious, and pleasant, and have good views in general. It is located within relative walking distance from Waikiki beach. A complimentary breakfast is offered and the hotel is mostly a good value.
However, Aston Coconut Plaza does suffer from some drawbacks. The hotel is older, probably from the early 60's. It's windows don't close well, so noise from the outside can sometimes be disturbing. Garbage trucks come early in the morning and can disrupt sleep. Lewers street, where the hotel is located, is a smelly and noisy street, therefore it is not as peaceful as a hotel should be.
